Thank you for visiting my website and allowing me the opportunity to
tell you about myself. My name is Brad Freeman, and I am
running for re-election of Property Valuation Administrator (PVA) of
Jessamine County, in the May 18th primary election.
Due to my extensive experience, I was appointed to the Jessamine
County PVA position by the Governor in 2007. I then proceeded to run
in the general election later that year, and won. I have been
happily serving in the capacity of Jessamine County PVA, ever since. Becoming
PVA has been a dream come true for me and one that I spent 13 years
preparing myself for.
I
spent 7 years in the Fayette County PVA office learning various
aspects of the job, including the ability to mass appraise and
produce credible assessments. Several years I spent chairing the PVA
Tax Appeal Board Hearings, which is something I continue to do
today, as PVA of Jessamine County. The time spent at the Fayette
County PVA was invaluable and it gave me the chance to take a vast
array of classes and attend conferences over the years to expand my
knowledge and experience base of the job. During my tenure, I earned
2 designations, which was awarded by the Revenue Cabinet for
experience and education specifically related to the PVA field. One
is a CKA (Certified Kentucky Assessor) and the other is an SKA
(Senior Kentucky Assessor). I am always striving to better myself in
knowledge base and technology so I may be completely competent in my
field. After 7 years at the Fayette County PVA, I then took my
appraising/assessing experience and education to the next level and
became a State Certified Appraiser. I spent 6 years working in this
profession learning how to employ techniques that help to render a
fair and equitable appraisal.
The total of these 13 years, plus the 3 that I have been serving as
PVA of Jessamine County, have helped me to become the experienced
and qualified PVA that I am today. I would like to ask you to vote
for me, Brad Freeman, on May 18th.
